What to Watch Weekend, Dec. 27-28

dog whisperer'Dog Whisperer' Week
(Sun., 8PM, National Geographic)
It's a dog eat dog world out there, but Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz found that before the recent birth of his first child, his bulldog Hemingway was taking the cliché a bit too literally.

Wentz and wife Ashlee Simpson called on Cesar Millan to help them quash Hemingway's building aggression, after they bought a new bulldog puppy -- Rigby -- to provide Hemingway with a pal, only to see the elder dog attack Rigby.

Cesar, in an episode that kicks off the annual 'DW' Week, teaches the couple a few simple tricks that will ensure their household is peaceful, and more importantly, safe, for their new son Bronx Mowgli.

Too bad Cesar couldn't have talked them out of that baby name ...

'Planet Earth'

Whether playing snooty sister Ellen on 'Mama's Family,' randy Sue Ann on 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show,' endearingly daffy Rose on 'The Golden Girls' or straight-up crazy Catherine Piper on 'Boston Legal,' comedy legend Betty White is never more delightful than when she's trying to help contestants score big cash in her role as queen of celebrity game show guests.

After all her hard work, Ruby is about to get a major reward: makeover!

'Snoop Dogg's Father Hood'
